Hitachi Rail is seeking a Principal OT Cybersecurity Engineer based in Brisbane, Australia. You will lead OT cybersecurity efforts, aligning with IEC 62443 and other standards, and mentor security specialists across railway subsystems.

The role bridges architecture, engineering, and project management, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to deliver secure control systems for rail infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related STEM disciplines.
• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Information Assurance, or related disciplines preferred.
• 6–10 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering within OT/ICS environments.

Responsibilities

• Technical Authority for OT Cybersecurity.
• Lead engineering teams and suppliers on security solutions.
• Review and approve security architectures and designs.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001 / 27005.
• Mentor Cybersecurity Specialists and support project delivery.
