Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our Sydney team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database development, advanced SQL programming, performance tuning, and large-scale data processing.

Qualifications

7-9+ years of SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
Strong expertise in advanced SQL concepts.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 12c and 19c.
Experience in database performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience with large-volume transactional databases.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database solutions using SQL and PL/SQL.
Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical designs and database solutions.
Develop and maintain Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Cursors, External Tables, and other database objects.
Create and optimize complex SQL queries for high performance and scalability.
Develop data extraction, transformation, and reporting solutions.
Create and manage batch processing jobs and database scheduling activities.
Generate reports through flat files, Excel extracts, and automated database processes.
Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement tuning recommendations.
Work with large-volume databases and ensure data integrity, quality, and reliability.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, application teams, and support teams to deliver robust solutions.
