Job summary

YMCA Victoria oversees four seasonal pools in Mount Alexander Shire. The Senior Operations Centre Coordinator will lead contract operations across these sites, drive recruitment and onboarding, and support staff development while ensuring compliance with quality systems and safety standards.

Qualifications

• You will have a comprehensive understanding of risk management practices and safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract operations and teams across the four Mount Alexander Seasonal Pools.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding for your team, plus staff training and development.
• Manage Health & Safety, Risk and Environment with support from the Operations Team Leader.
• Oversee facility maintenance and strategic asset management, including contractor relationships.
• Develop and optimise facility hire opportunities and manage budgets and reporting.

About the Centre

There are four Council-owned outdoor swimming pools in Mount Alexander Shire, located in Castlemaine, Harcourt, Maldon and Newstead. We are looking for pool lifeguards across all these four sites!

About the role

As a Senior Operations Centre Coordinator at Mount Alexander shire, you will be a key leader and manage the contract operations and teams across the four Mount Alexander Seasonal Pools. You will oversee recruitment and onboarding for your team and support with employee training and development in addition to rostering and timesheets. You will ensure the daily operations of the centre are in line with contractual requirements, quality systems and industry guidelines. You will manage Health & Safety, Risk and Environment with the support of the Operations Team Leader. You will oversee all facility maintenance and strategic asset management including contractor relationships. You will develop and optimize facility hire opportunities and manage all associated budgets and reporting.

This is a full-time fixed term position with an hourly rate of $40.07 + super.
