Job summary

AUSIEX is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst in FIIG’s Custody team to support back-office processing, cash movements, and reconciliations for our fixed income clients in Australia. You will collaborate with the front and back offices and ensure accurate trade processing, timely reporting, and strict adherence to GS007 audit requirements.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in financial services, experience with Fixed Income, strong MS Excel skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience within financial services.
• Experience with Fixed Income securities (a strong advantage).
• Intermediate to Advanced computer literacy in MS Office with a focus on Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate initiative, problem solving skills and have strong attention to detail.
• Experience working in a GS007 Certified operations team an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely processing of client buy and sell trading
• Process cash movements within FIIG’s bank accounts
• Reconciliations of cash, trades, FX, client receivables and payables
• Manage journal entries into the company’s systems
• End of day reporting to management ensuring any issues are escalated
• Ensure activities are signed off by managers and work to strict GS007 audit requirements and support auditors
• You will be a key contact between front and back office to ensure queries and issues are resolved ensuring a positive client experience.
• Contribute ideas to improving processes and efficiencies
• Month end reporting to finance
• Assist with the development and maintenance of written procedures documents
• Cross train in other functions within the Custody team

A Senior Operations Analyst within FIIG’s Custody team will perform critical back-office functions ensuring the smoothest experience possible for FIIG’s clients. The Senior Operations Analyst will work with the wider custody team to ensure accurate and timely processing of client buy and sell trading.

The Senior Operations Analyst will become a subject matter expert on the processing of Treasury cash movements within FIIG’s bank accounts as well as reconciliations of cash, trades, FX, client receivables and payables. The Senior Operations Analyst will always operate in an ethical and responsible manner while being a key contact between FIIG’s front and back offices.

What Will You Be Doing
