FIIG has a varied technology stack, which helps us scale our business within both the front and back office. Between these systems, there are a number of complex business processes & integrations which need to be monitored, managed, and improved to ensure no outages or core business issues.

What Will You Be Doing

You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with AUSIEX’s values of Listen, Learn, Grow, Lead with Passion, Take the Initiative and Collaborate to Innovate.

FIIG will be progressively rolling out a full client‑facing business platform replacement. The objective of this replacement is to support client acquisition and revenue growth, business optimisation, and leverage AI technology to achieve a high standard of customer service and efficiency across FIIG’s entire business. This staged replacement must be designed and implemented in a way that ensures minimal impact to clients and normal business operations.

Responsibilities

• To work with the business to capture, validate, prioritise and document the business requirements that will be implemented by the solutions
• To work with the business and IT teams to develop designs that meet requirements (functional, non‑functional and technical), and that can be suitably implemented within the chosen technology
• To work with the business and IT teams to develop business cases to help prioritise and focus spending / effort to be in line with immediate and strategic needs
• Performing investigative analysis on existing systems to baseline current state requirements and design (for both the business and technical domains)
• Perform the key issue analysis needed as inputs into meetings with the business and IT teams so that decisions can be made effectively. Ensure the actions and outcomes of these meetings are recorded and any outstanding actions are raised with management
• Assist with the development of suitable methodologies, standards and principles
• Ensuring that documentation is produced in a timely manner, is in line with standards, and that requirements are traceable to designs (and vice‑versa)
• Identify potential areas of process improvement (in the business and in the project), and raise these for discussion
• Ensure that designs are documented to the level required, and appropriately reviewed / validated to minimise the likelihood of design flaws being found in development
• Structure and facilitate meetings for project scoping, requirement collection and Current State / Future State documentation
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organisation
• Provide accurate estimates for assigned work to project managers

Essential Skills

• 3+ continuous years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst (or equivalent position)
• Must have solid experience in performing investigative business analysis on existing systems to baseline current state requirements and design
• Strong experience developing designs based on (and integrating to) COTS (Commercial‑Of‑The‑Shelf) products
• Extensive knowledge of technology and business operations for more than one business sector
• Proven experience working collaboratively with multiple partners to deliver successful outcomes for complex business / system problems

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Previous experience in: Copilot Pro, Power Apps, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 365, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
• Previous experience within financial services is desirable
• Previous experience with SimCorp Dimension is desirable
