Job summary

Evolution Mining seeks a Senior Mine Planning Engineer for Northparkes open pit growth. You will help design, establish and deliver a new operation from project development through to production, influencing mine design, scheduling, and operational readiness.

You will work with technical and operational stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient and sustainable mining performance, on a 5:2/4:3 roster, balancing career growth with a strong lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Experience in open pit mine planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency with Deswik Scheduler is required.
• Experience developing mine designs and production schedules.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine planning activities for a new open pit operation.
• Establish planning standards, systems and governance for the project.
• Develop short- and medium-term mine schedules to maximise production and value.
• Identify risks and provide practical solutions with technical input.
• Collaborate with contractors, survey, geology, processing and operations teams.
• Support transition from project development to operations with continuous improvement.
