Evolution Mining at Northparkes Operations invites applications for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Open Pit to lead geotechnical work on the E28NE pit, guiding design, risk management and ongoing operations from project start through production.

You will collaborate with mining, geology and project teams to shape pit design, slope performance and long-term asset value while enjoying a 9-hour day roster across a 5:2/4:3 schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) or equivalent.
• Experience in open pit geotechnical engineering and slope stability.
• Proven ability to assess risks and monitor geotechnical systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for slope stability and ground control.
• Influence safe design and performance of the open pit operation.
• Deliver monitoring and recommendations to support decisions.
• Develop geotechnical systems and hazard controls for site-wide risk management.
• Collaborate with mining, geology, survey and contractor teams.
