Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a senior Wind Turbine Commissioning Lead to oversee the ANZ region's commissioning activities.

The role requires on-site leadership of project commissioning teams, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence across multiple sites while coordinating with Field Operations and the Asia Commissioning Manager. You will travel between projects, occasionally to Melbourne, and may support broader APAC training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Extensive wind turbine commissioning experience and a track record of successful projects.
• Minimum 4+ years supervisory experience managing a team of 5+ staff.
• Deep knowledge of wind turbine technology, components and commissioning steps.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse teams.
• Safety-focused with understanding of industry standards and protocols.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site at various locations.
• Intermediate MS Office skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities; certifications in wind energy or safety are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Commissioners, providing direction, training and mentorship.
• Develop detailed commissioning plans, schedules, DORs and resource allocation.
• Conduct site assessments to identify challenges and optimize processes.
• Oversee commissioning across multiple sites in line with GE specs and safety rules.
• Perform quality inspections and take corrective actions as needed.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide real-time solutions.
• Monitor safety KPIs, enforce LOTO and incident prevention measures.
• Ensure accurate documentation of commissioning activities and deviations.
• Coordinate logistics and site preparation with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical expertise during commissioning and testing phases.
