Job summary

Mindful Beings Occupational Therapy on the Gold Coast is hiring a Senior Occupational Therapist to lead clinical care, mentor therapy staff, and develop leadership skills within a supportive team.

You’ll manage a diverse caseload across paediatrics and adults, with opportunities to grow in NDIS-related practice while enjoying a 9-day fortnight and hybrid work arrangements in a purpose-built Coomera clinic.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of post-graduate OT experience.
• Active AHPRA registration in Occupational Therapy.
• NDIS experience and/or interest is preferred but not essential.

This is a hands‑on clinical role with opportunities to develop your leadership skills, whether you’re already a Senior OT or ready to take the next step.

Your clinical work

You’ll maintain your own diverse caseload, with opportunities to develop your expertise across your chosen areas:

• Paediatrics and adolescents: developmental delays, sensory processing, emotional regulation and functional skill development.
• Adults: functional independence, daily living skills and community participation.
• Assistive technology: equipment assessment and prescription.
• Complex NDIS assessments: Functional Capacity Assessments, SIL, SDA and clinical reporting.
• Home modifications: supporting safety, accessibility and independence.

Leadership and mentoring

Alongside your clinical work, you’ll have opportunities to:

• Provide supervision and mentorship to developing Occupational Therapists.
• Contribute to peer supervision and complex case discussions.
• Support clinical reasoning and high-quality report writing.
• Lead team learning opportunities and contribute to clinical quality improvement.

You’ll have support from our experienced team as you build your confidence in leadership.

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• 3+ years of post‑graduate OT experience. We also welcome applications from clinicians with less experience who could be the right fit.
• Strong clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
• Experience working with NDIS participants, or an interest in developing this expertise. NDIS experience is preferred, but not essential.
• An interest in supervising, mentoring and supporting other clinicians. Previous supervision experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
• Confidence managing a diverse caseload and a willingness to continue learning.
• Strong clinical report‑writing and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and time management.
• A collaborative, positive and supportive approach to teamwork.
• A genuine passion for helping clients achieve meaningful outcomes.
• You don’t need to be an expert in every clinical area. We value strong clinical foundations, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to support others.

Essential qualifications and requirements

• Recognised tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Relevant NDIS and working‑with‑children screening clearances, or willingness to obtain them.
