Job summary

Kaliba is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer (Level 3) for Melbourne-based managed services. You will be the top technical escalation point for the Network, Security & Cyber team, handling the toughest tickets, leading major incident responses and coaching junior engineers.

You will design, implement and troubleshoot Fortinet and Palo Alto environments, manage SD-WAN, plan changes with rollback options, and contribute to runbooks and automation while ensuring ITIL-aligned practices and

Qualifications

6+ years in network and security engineering with senior escalation experience.
Fortinet experience with NSE 4 minimum; NSE 5/6/7 valued.
Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama knowledge encouraged.
Enterprise routing and switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, HA).
Proven ability to resolve complex multi-vendor faults and perform RCAs.
ITIL-aligned discipline for tickets, changes and problems.

Responsibilities

Escalate and act as top technical point for L1/L2 incidents and changes.
Lead P1/P2 major incidents, perform root cause analyses and write customer reports.
Design, configure and troubleshoot firewall policies across Fortinet and Palo Alto.
Plan changes with rollback plans and coordinate after-hours windows.
Mentor L2 engineers and contribute to runbooks and automation.
