Job summary

FinXL IT Professional Services is seeking a Level 3 Network & Security Engineer for its Managed Services team in Melbourne. You will act as the senior escalation authority, leading resolution of complex multi-vendor faults, managing P1/P2 incidents, and mentoring Level 2 engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of network and security engineering experience.
• At least 2 years at L3 or senior escalation level in MSP/MSSP.
• NSE 4 or higher and PCNSA/PCNSE credentials are highly regarded.
• Strong ITIL discipline with ticket, change and problem management strengths.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior escalation point for L2 engineers across incidents and changes.
• Lead P1/P2 major incidents and produce root cause analyses.
• Resolve complex multi-vendor faults end-to-end in network and security environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot Fortinet and Palo Alto estates (FortiGuard, Panorama, FortiManager, FortiAnalyser).
• Plan changes, upgrades, migrations, and ensure rollback strategies are in place.
• Collaborate with Client Technical Lead to formalize problem management for recurring faults.
• Mentor L2 engineers and contribute to runbooks and automation.
