Talenza is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer for a Tier 1 Australian financial services organisation. The role is permanent with a hybrid working model in Sydney, offering AU$180,000–AU$190,000 base plus benefits.

You will design, build and optimise secure, scalable cloud networking across public cloud platforms, shaping the bank's cloud strategy. You will lead IaC initiatives using Terraform, Python and Ansible, provide Level 3 support, and collaborate with technology and business teams

Qualifications

• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in enterprise networks.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VNet, routing, IP addressing, load balancing and security.
• Hands-on with IaC: Terraform, Python and Ansible; able to automate infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and enhance cloud networking and security across public clouds.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code to improve automation.
• Provide Level 3 technical support for complex cloud network issues.

A leading Australian financial services organisation is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role is ideal for an experienced cloud networking professional who enjoys designing, building and optimising secure, scalable cloud infrastructure within a complex enterprise environment. You'll play a key role in shaping the organisation's cloud networking strategy while working with modern technologies across public cloud and automation platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and enhance cloud networking and security infrastructure across public cloud environments
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions to improve automation and consistency
• Provide Level 3 technical support and act as an escalation point for complex cloud network issues
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of future infrastructure initiatives and cloud transformations
• Support the development of technology standards, governance frameworks and best practices
• Partner with key stakeholders across technology and business teams to deliver critical infrastructure outcomes

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience working with public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and/or GCP
• Deep understanding of cloud networking concepts including virtual networks, routing, IP addressing, load balancing and network security
• Hands-on experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Python and Ansible
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud, network and infrastructure issues
• Industry certifications such as Cisco, AWS or Azure are highly regarded
