Job summary

FinXL's Network Engineering Practice is seeking a L4 Senior Network Engineer to lead a major government network transformation project. You will serve as a technical leader deployed to a prominent Federal Government organisation, delivering infrastructure components and architecture documentation.

The role emphasises security hardening, design discipline, and operational readiness, with responsibility for HLD/LLD and evaluation of SD-WAN, ACI, NSX and SDA technologies, while guiding L2/L3

Qualifications

• Experience as a L4 Network Engineer or Technical Lead.
• Strong Cisco networking expertise, firewalls, and F5 load balancers.
• Ability to produce High Level and Low Level Design (HLD/LLD) documents.
• Background in network security hardening and regulatory risk compliance.
• Experience evaluating and adopting SD-WAN, ACI, NSX, and SDA technologies.
• Solid ITIL knowledge for incident, problem, and change management.
• Excellent communication skills for vendor management and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver network infrastructure components for strategic projects and initiatives.
• Produce and maintain high-quality network architecture and design documentation.
• Ensure operational readiness and performance of enterprise network services.
• Author highly technical standards, operational procedures, and complex runbooks.
• Execute network security hardening and ensure strict compliance with standards.
• Provide technical leadership and capability uplift for L2/L3 engineering teams.
• Lead technical evaluation and adoption of SD-WAN, ACI, NSX, and SDA technologies.
