Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a client in Australia. You will be the primary customer-facing representative, delivering expert network solutions to maximise performance, availability, and security across enterprise environments including Data Centre, Wireless, and SD-WAN.

You will work with routing and switching technologies (IOS-XR/IOS-XE/NX-OS), Cisco platforms, and scripting for automation. CCIE preferred; strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies (IOS-XR / IOS-XE / NX-OS).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco platforms including ASR9000, NCS540/5500, ASR1000, Nexus 5000/7000.
• Proficiency in network automation and troubleshooting using Python, Ansible, TCL, and EEM scripting.
• In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, BNG, Segment Routing, and EVPN technologies.
• Experience supporting Enterprise solutions, including Data Centre, Wireless, and SD-WAN environments.
• Cisco certifications are preferred (CCIE etc).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships to ensure effective collaboration and support.
• Develop deep knowledge of customer network environments, critical sites, and operational procedures.
• Provide dedicated technical support for complex network issues and critical outage escalations.
• Proactively monitor cases, drive resolutions, and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Participate in case reviews and customer engagements, delivering technical insights and recommendations.
