Job summary

Tecala is seeking a senior network engineering professional to lead and shape network solutions within our managed services practice in Australia. The role involves hands-on engineering, project delivery, and presales consulting across WAN, LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and Zero-Trust architectures.

Reporting to the Head of Network & Comms Services, you will own uptime, security, and continuous improvement, while mentoring NOC staff and driving automation across tools and platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience delivering and architecting networks in managed services or SI environments.
• CCNP, JNCIE or equivalent certification.
• Certifications across multiple vendors (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Microsoft, Linux).
• Broad exposure to network technologies and standards with a track record of delivering projects.
• Strong security mindset and ITIL understanding.
• Presales or solution-architect experience.
• Ability to work across teams in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Tecala’s core network infrastructure.
• Deliver customer network solutions across WAN, LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and Zero-Trust.
• Own uptime, security and risk management for managed networks.
• Review network deliverables for cost-effectiveness and supportability.
• Support presales with design, consulting and scoping.
• Deliver network projects from design to handover.
• Upskill NOC staff and mentor teams.
• Drive automation and process improvements across tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with Operations Centre to enhance existing products and develop new offerings.
