Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Network Engineer for Capgemini Engineering's Sydney team to design, implement, and maintain IP networks in the telecom domain. You will configure devices, enforce security policies, monitor performance, and collaborate with IT colleagues to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or related field.
• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCIE/CCNA/CCNP are highly valued.
• Strong IP protocol knowledge (OSPF, BGP) and telecom IP-based architectures.
• Experience designing and implementing telecom network architectures and flows.
• Data centre fabrics including ACI and EVPN-VXLAN.
• Security policy management with telco-grade firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement IP networks in telecom domain.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Implement and maintain network security policies, including IDS and NAC.
• Troubleshoot network problems and ensure stability and performance.
• Document configurations and ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Collaborate with IT professionals and stakeholders to meet network requirements.
• Audit and manage IP addresses and networking resources.
• Monitor performance and optimize configurations.
• Perform regular network maintenance per architectural changes and patches.
• Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure and data.
