Job summary

Equifax, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to drive the evolution of the Network team toward Site Reliability Engineering, cloud-native operations, and Infrastructure as Code across Australia and New Zealand.

You will automate virtual appliances, lead major incident resolution, and collaborate with Architecture to align infra plans with enterprise roadmaps, while supporting data centre decommissioning and hybrid cloud migrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of infrastructure architecture or senior systems engineering experience across cloud and on‑premises environments.
• 3+ years with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• 5+ years of practical experience with network infrastructure both on‑premises and in the cloud.
• Experience automating virtual appliances (firewalls, load balancers, virtual routers).
• Hands-on troubleshooting and major incident resolution experience.

Responsibilities

• Champion the Network team's evolution towards SRE practices, cloud-native operations, and IaC.
• Identify opportunities to automate virtual appliances and collaborate with the global Network Automation team.
• Serve as senior escalation point for major incidents and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Architectural teams to align infra requirements with roadmaps.
• Support regional data centre decommissioning and hybrid cloud migrations.
• Evaluate infra against reliability, availability, and performance targets.
