Job summary

Ethos BeathChapman on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a high‑performing infra team. You will design, implement and support enterprise networks across multi-site environments, ensuring reliability, security and scalable performance in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities include partnering with vendors and internal stakeholders, configuring Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba switching and wireless, and integrating Cisco routing with BGP/OSPF, SD‑WAN and cloud connectivity

Qualifications

• Design, implement and support enterprise network environments across multiple sites.
• Hands-on with Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls, including policy management and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Aruba networking infrastructure, including wireless and switching.
• Experience with Cisco networking technologies in complex environments.
• Proven routing and switching experience (BGP/OSPF).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network, wireless and security platforms.
• Experience with cloud networking across Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Exposure to cloud connectivity and hybrid network architectures.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Palo Alto SD-WAN & Prisma).
• Understanding of network security principles and governance within ITIL environments.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a high-performing infrastructure team responsible for the design, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise network services across a 24/7 operational environment. This role will play a key part in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of critical network infrastructure while supporting ongoing technology initiatives across cloud, security, and connectivity platforms. Working closely with internal stakeholders and technology partners, you will deliver scalable and resilient network solutions that support business operations today and into the future.

Required Experience

• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls, including security policy management, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
• Extensive experience supporting Aruba networking infrastructure, including wireless and switching technologies.
• Experience working with Cisco networking technologies within complex enterprise environments.
• Proven experience supporting routing and switching technologies, including BGP and OSPF.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across network, wireless, and security platforms.
• Experience supporting cloud networking environments across Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Exposure to cloud connectivity solutions and hybrid network architectures.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies, ideally Palo Alto SD-WAN and Prisma solutions.
• Ability to design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, governance, and best practice frameworks.
• Experience working within ITIL-based operational environments and service management processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, technology partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
• Maintain high-quality network documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Palo Alto, Aruba, or Cisco certifications will be highly regarded.
