Job summary

Talent in Canberra seeks an experienced Network Architect to provide strategic and technical leadership across a complex enterprise network environment. You will govern enterprise architecture across on‑prem, cloud-connected and hybrid environments with hands-on technical leadership.

You will translate requirements into secure, scalable network solutions, develop architecture patterns and roadmaps, and guide major modernization initiatives with governance across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise network architectures in large ICT environments.
• Strong expertise in enterprise security architectures, especially Fortinet.
• Ability to operate in complex, multi-vendor networks and translate requirements into designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise network architecture, standards, patterns and technology roadmaps.
• Translate business, security and operational requirements into network capabilities and designs.
• Lead the design and implementation of strategic network initiatives and complex changes.
• Produce high-level and detailed network designs and implementation guidance.
• Act as technical lead across complex projects and refresh activities.
• Provide architecture governance and assurance across concurrent projects and operations.
• Define and implement network security architectures aligned with ISM, PSPF and Essential Eight.
• Improve network resilience, security, monitoring, automation and supportability.
• Guide lifecycle management, capacity planning and modernization activities.
• Maintain hands-on engagement across network technologies.
• Engage stakeholders to develop and communicate network solutions.
