Job summary

TheDriveGroup is seeking a Senior .NET Engineer for a 6-month contract in Australia, with Sydney or Melbourne as the base. You’ll work on modern cloud-native services, APIs and platform modernisation within a large-scale technology environment.

You’ll design and build .NET/ASP.NET Core services, develop AWS cloud-native solutions, and mentor other engineers while driving CI/CD and observability across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Strong C# and modern .NET/.NET Core experience.
• ASP.NET Core & REST API experience required.
• AWS and cloud-native development experience desired.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior .NET Engineer to join a major financial services organisation on an initial 6-month contract.

This is a hands‑on opportunity to work on modern cloud‑native services, APIs and platform modernisation within a large‑scale technology environment.

What you'll be doing

• Design and build modern .NET / ASP.NET Core services and APIs
• Develop cloud‑native solutions using AWS
• Work across distributed systems, integrations and APIs
• Modernise legacy .NET services
• Drive CI/CD, automated testing and observability
• Troubleshoot complex production issues
• Mentor and support other engineers

What we’re looking for

• Strong C# and modern .NET / .NET Core experience
• ASP.NET Core & REST API experience
• AWS and cloud-native development
• Distributed systems and containers
• SQL, CI/CD and automated testing
• Production engineering and application security experience

Highly regarded: .NET 8, DHP, event‑driven architecture, Cards/Payments or Financial Services experience.
