Job summary

NCS Australia is seeking a talented Senior Level Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and optimise the next generation of our products. You’ll work across a modern stack spanning .NET microservices, cloud-native technologies, and DevOps practices— all in service of delivering real community impact across transport and mobility networks.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a software product environment using Scrum, DevOps, and continuous delivery.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET for building microservices and business logic.
• Experience with AWS core services.
• Experience with REST, JSON, and modern API patterns; exposure to gRPC or Protobuf is essential.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and messaging technologies (RabbitMQ, Redis) is desirable.
• Experience with git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as GitLab.
• Comfortable in both Windows and Linux development environments.
• Understanding of observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with micro frontends, component libraries, or design systems.
• AWS or Microsoft certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise the next generation of products in a modern stack.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and Engineering Lead in an agile team.
• Develop full-stack solutions from back-end microservices and APIs to front-end UIs.
• Apply secure development, peer reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD-driven delivery.
• Build microservices and distributed components aligned with the reference architecture.
• Craft clean, accessible, high-performance UIs using contemporary front-end frameworks.
• Ensure reliability and maintainability with automated testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers.
• Assist with product rollouts, troubleshooting, and deployments; contribute to documentation and design discussions.
