Job summary

Gruntify is seeking a skilled .NET developer to extend and maintain the multi-tenant Gruntify API, the backend behind our web and mobile apps. You will work across API, reporting, and migration layers in a growing, mid-m migration environment.

Expect to build features across modules, implement tests alongside code, and ensure schema changes stay in step with the EF model and SQL. Join a team moving from Cosmos to Postgres while shipping robust REST services.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of commercial C# and .NET experience.
• Proficiency with Entity Framework Core and relational schema design.
• REST API design with versioned contracts to support multiple mobile clients.
• You write tests as part of the work and maintain test coverage.
• Azure DevOps pipelines and Git are part of the workflow.
• Comfortable in a codebase mid-migration with two data stores live (Cosmos and Postgres).

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features across the API modules: requests, jobs, assets, forms, teams, roles, exports and the rest.
• Write tests with the code. Unit tests cover logic not tied to a web app; integration tests cover web-facing parts.
• Take schema changes through migration tooling to keep EF models and SQL in sync.
• Move code out of deprecated module projects into the proper layer as changes are made.
• Help finish the move from Cosmos to Postgres.
• Review pull requests thoroughly and provide constructive feedback.
