Job summary

Auto & General (A&G) seeks a senior actuary to drive pricing decisions for natural peril risks in general insurance. You will analyse data, model pricing, review external data sources, and provide senior management with actionable insights to guide underwriting and risk management.

Based in Sydney or Brisbane, you will lead pricing initiatives, mentor juniors, and collaborate with underwriting, IT and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in general insurance pricing.
• Experience pricing natural perils risks and data sources.
• Degree in mathematics, actuarial studies or data science.
• Programming for advanced model development (SAS/R/Python).

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing decisions through data-driven analysis and modelling.
• Develop pricing solutions for natural peril risks.
• Review data sources and improve pricing infrastructure.
• Mentor junior analysts and present papers to stakeholders.
• Collaborate across underwriting, sales, IT and analytics.
