Job summary

Recruitment Innovations – Rockhampton City QLD is seeking an experienced Motorcycle Mechanic to join Rocky Motorcycles in Rockhampton, QLD. The role involves dismantling engines, repairing parts, and testing subassemblies to meet specifications.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology or equivalent, with ideally at least 3 years of hands-on experience and the ability to work well in a team. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 per year, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Motorcycle Mechanic.
• The ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle engines and repair or replace defective parts, such as magnetos, carburetors, and generators.
• Remove cylinder heads, grind valves, and scrape off carbon, and replace defective valves, pistons, cylinders and rings, using hand tools and power tools.
• Repair or replace other parts, such as headlights, horns, handlebar controls, gasoline and oil tanks, starters and mufflers.
• Repair and adjust motorcycle subassemblies such as forks, transmissions, brakes, and drive chains, according to specifications.
• Replace defective parts, using hand tools, arbor presses, flexible power presses, or power tools.
• Reassemble and test subassembly units.
• Disassemble subassembly units and examine condition, movement or alignment of parts visually or using gauges.
