Job summary

Rocky Creek Abattoir in Tolga, QLD is seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic (General) to maintain, service and repair our fleet of vehicles and equipment for safe, reliable operations. The role involves diagnosing faults, servicing vehicles and performing preventative maintenance in a workshop setting.

The successful candidate will hold a Motor Mechanic trade qualification, have a current driver licence, and may benefit from HR/Forklift licences.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic.
• Current driver licence.
• HR Licence and Forklift Licence would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical faults.
• Service company vehicles.
• Repair engines, transmissions and braking systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance.
• Complete mechanical inspections.
• Assist with breakdown repairs.
• Maintain workshop and service records.
• Order replacement parts.
• Ensure repairs and servicing comply with manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain safe workshop practices.
