Qualifications

• Good knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures.

• Australian work authorisation and valid visa.

Responsibilities

About the role

Kings Mechanical is seeking an experienced Senior Motor Mechanic/Technician to join our team on a full-time basis at our Golden Grove workshop. This is a key position within our automotive service centre, where you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and their vehicles are returned in optimal working condition. This role is central to maintaining Kings Mechanical's reputation for quality workmanship and reliable customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including logbook servicing and timing belts
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge
• Repair and replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and brake systems
• Maintain detailed service records and provide accurate documentation of all work completed
• Operate and maintain workshop tools and equipment safely and responsibly
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient workshop operations
• Keep up to date with developments in vehicle technology and repair techniques

What we're looking for

• A minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified motor mechanic/technician
• Cert III or IV in Motor Vehicle Technology
• A good knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures
• Auto-electrical knowledge preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines whilst maintaining quality standards
• Must have Australian work authorisation and valid visa. We are unable to provide employer-sponsorship for this role.

• Competency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models
• Strong knowledge of modern automotive systems, including engine management, electrical systems, and brake systems
