Job summary

Omega Auto & Smash Repair Pty Ltd in Coopers Plains, Queensland, is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic (General) to join the team on a full-time basis.

You will diagnose and repair light vehicles, perform servicing and safety checks, and use diagnostic equipment. The role requires AQF Certificate III or IV and several years of post‑qualification experience.

Salary is AUD 75,000–85,000 per year plus super, with minimum 38 hours per week.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III or IV with on-the-job training.
• At least three years post-qualification experience in motor vehicle diagnostics, servicing and repair.
• Proficient in fault diagnosis and use of workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles, identify mechanical faults and determine repair requirements.
• Use diagnostic equipment to investigate engine and performance issues.
• Dismantle and inspect engines and assemblies for repairs.
• Repair or replace components in engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and brakes.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and safety checks.
• Reassemble and test repaired systems and vehicles for correct operation.
• Maintain accurate records and observe workplace safety procedures.
