Job summary

Neo Finance Group, a Hamilton-based mortgage brokerage in Newcastle, seeks an experienced mortgage broker to manage residential and investment lending from discovery to settlement. You will craft tailored strategies, assess borrowing capacity and guide clients through complex scenarios, collaborating with our credit and support teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in broker roles, relevant qualifications, and a passion for helping clients build long-term wealth through property.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a mortgage broker.
• Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking; Diploma preferred.
• Strong knowledge of residential and investment lending and lender policies.
• Experience with complex lending scenarios, self-employed borrowers and investment loan structures.
• Excellent communication, relationship management and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage workload and own client outcomes.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance.
• Interest in property, finance and helping clients build wealth.
• Mercury Nexus and Connective experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing residential and investment lending enquiries from initial consultation through to settlement.
• Conducting client discovery meetings and understanding financial goals.
• Developing tailored lending strategies including refinancing, equity releases, investment purchases and portfolio structuring.
• Assessing borrowing capacity, lender suitability and credit policy requirements.
• Presenting recommendations and guiding clients through their lending journey.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, referral partners and industry professionals.
• Working with our credit analysts and client services team to deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Identifying opportunities to help existing clients achieve their next property goals.
