Job summary

SKL Technology is seeking experienced Mobile Automation + AI Testers to deliver high-quality digital solutions for mobile apps and AI-enabled capabilities. You will design, develop and execute automated tests across mobile platforms within multidisciplinary Agile teams.

Role requires hands-on mobile automation using Appium/Espresso/XCUITest, plus REST API testing and automation with Playwright/Selenium. Collaboration with developers and analysts is essential to ensure quality across APIs,

Job description

We are seeking experienced Mobile Automation + AI Testers to support the delivery of high-quality digital solutions across mobile applications and emerging AI-enabled capabilities.

The successful candidates will work within multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams, designing, developing and executing automated tests across mobile and digital platforms. The role requires strong hands-on mobile automation capability combined with experience testing APIs, enterprise platforms and AI-enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for mobile applications across multiple platforms and devices.
• Build reusable automated test suites that support efficient and repeatable testing throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end and exploratory testing across mobile and digital solutions.
• Test REST APIs using Postman and develop automated REST API tests.
• Test solutions involving Salesforce and MuleSoft.
• Test AI-enabled applications and features, validating the accuracy, consistency, reliability and expected behaviour of AI-generated outputs.
• Develop test scenarios and test data covering expected behaviours, unexpected outcomes and edge cases for AI-enabled functionality.
• Analyse business requirements, technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and automation coverage.
• Identify, investigate, document and track defects through to resolution.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyse test results, identify quality risks and provide clear reporting on defects and testing outcomes.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing standards, tools and quality assurance practices.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts and other members of multidisciplinary Agile teams.
• Apply relevant security, privacy, accessibility and quality requirements when testing mobile and AI-enabled solutions

Key Technical Skills

• 5+ years of mobile application testing experience, including developing and executing automated tests across mobile platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest or comparable technologies.
• 5+ years of automation testing experience, including developing and maintaining automation frameworks and reusable automated test suites.
• Strong hands-on UI automation experience using Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Strong REST API testing experience using Postman, including writing automated REST API tests.
• Experience testing Salesforce and MuleSoft-based solutions.
• Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo or similar CI tools, including building automation test pipelines

What we are looking for:

• Accessibility testing: Experience or interest in accessible design and development, ideally including WCAG, axe, JAWS or similar accessibility testing tools.
• Mobile automation frameworks: Experience with Appium, Espresso, XCUITest or comparable mobile automation technologies.
• CI/CD integration: Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Government/complex environment: Previous testing experience within Australian Government or another large, complex enterprise environment
