Job summary

Neara is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build ML models for digitising real-world infrastructure using data from LiDAR, imagery, and GIS. You’ll shape the ML strategy, stay current with MLOps, and mentor junior engineers while delivering scalable pipelines and production-grade models.

You will work across data collection, training, QA, and monitoring, contributing to an innovation-driven culture with flexible work arrangements and a global impact on energy infrastructure resilience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
• Strong foundation in software engineering.
• Proficiency with ML frameworks PyTorch, TensorFlow or Jax.

Responsibilities

• Develop ML models from data sources like LiDAR, imagery, and GIS.
• Build and optimise training pipelines to reduce toil and speed evaluation.
• Scale model serving across diverse problems and data.
• Improve model QA speed and detect data/distribution drift.
• Mentor engineers in model training and software engineering best practices.
