Job summary

Genesis Minerals Limited is seeking an Open Pit Mine Geologist to join a high‑performing team in Western Australia. FIFO from Perth to Leonora with town‑based accommodation and a strong safety culture.

You will interpret geological data, define mineralisation, and coordinate drilling and resource estimation while supporting a growing operation. The role requires a degree in Geology, experience in open pit gold mining, and solid geology software skills.

Qualifications

Qualification in Geology.
Driver’s license (C Class, manual).
Experience in open pit gold mining.
Well‑rounded technical and geology software skills.

Responsibilities

Produce geological sections, plans and long sections from interpreted mapping.
Develop and maintain geology and mineralisation wireframes.
Map and document mining benches with geology, structure and mineralisation.
Generate mineable shapes (blocks) with minimal dilution and coordinate with engineers.
Supervise mark-outs, ore extraction and movements to maximise recovery.
Ensure timely data entry, tracking and reconciliation for reporting.
Identify and classify inferred, indicated and measured resources.
Log RC grade control holes to high standards and timelines.
Design, set out and implement RC drill programs for lodes.
Mentor and support geology technicians and foster development.
