Job summary

RLC MINING PTY LTD in Brisbane seeks an experienced Senior Mining Engineer with drill & blast expertise to support multiple open-cut coal projects. You will help develop executable plans, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate the operating strategy while upholding quality and sustainability.

Strong leadership, communication, and on-site experience are essential to deliver high-quality client support.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years experience in mining operations.
• Open Cut coal mining with minimum 5 years on-site experience in D&B.
• Experience in various mining methods (Truck Shovel, Dragline, Dozer Push).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in mine software such as Vulcan, Deswik, blast design softwares, Power BI and BlastLogic.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced mining engineer with drill & blast experiences to support various projects located at verious mines sites. As a Senior Engineer you will play a key role in supporting development of an executable plan, identifying risk and opportunities, and communicating the operating strategy without compromising on quality and sustainability, whilst maximising productivity. We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership capability, and communication skills to ensure we provide a high level quality support to our clients.

Your interpersonal skills will foster collaborative working relationships across different departments. As the successful candidate, you will preferably possess the following:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years experience of working in

Open Cut coal mining with minimum 5 years on-site experience in D&B. Multiple commodities will be preferable.

• Experience in various mining methods (Truck Shovel, Dragline, Dozer Push)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in mine software such as Vulcan, Deswik, blast design softwares, Power BI and BlastLogic.

The role will require frequent travel to site on specific roster as required by client.
