Job summary

RLC Mining Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to support projects located at site and Brisbane office. You will help develop executable plans, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate operating strategy without compromising quality and sustainability.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary Mining Engineering degree, a minimum of 10 years mining experience with at least 5 on-site, and experience in open cut coal mines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years mining experience with at least 5 on-site.
• Experience in open cut coal mines.
• Experience with multiple mining methods and scheduling.
• Proficient in mining software such as Vulcan, Deswik and Spry.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced mining engineer to support various projects located at site and brisbane office. As a Senior Mining Engineer you will play a key role in supporting development of an executable plan, identifying risk and opportunities, and communicating the operating strategy without compromising on quality and sustainability, whilst maximising productivity. We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership capability, and communication skills to ensure we provide a high level quality support to our clients.

Your interpersonal skills will foster collaborative working relationships across different departments. As a successful candidate, you will have to possess the following:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years mining experience with minimum 5 years on-site experience is a must.
• Experience in open cut coal mines.

Multiple commodities will be preferable.

• Experience in various mining methods (Truck Shovel, Dragline, Dozer Push)
• Experience in mine design, reserving and scheduling for short, medium and long-term plan
• Proficient in using various mining softwares eg.

Vulcan, Deswik, Spry The role will require frequent travel to site on specific roster as per required by client.
