Yancoal Australia is seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to lead long-term planning and project delivery at Ashton, a multi-seam underground mine. You will manage mine scheduling, life-of-mine reporting, and key design work using AutoCAD and XPAC, with strong emphasis on ventilation projects and dewatering.
Requires a Mining Engineering degree and 5+ years in similar roles; XPAC, Excel, and MS Project proficiency are essential.

Located 14 km northwest of Singleton, Ashton underground mine has been operational for nearly 20 years. The mine produces semi-soft coking coal for export through the Port of Newcastle, for use in the steel manufacturing industry and thermal coal for power generation. Ashton employs approximately 300 people across our surface and underground operations.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this is a full-time fixed-term opportunity that will see the successful applicant play a key role in the planning and delivery of mining engineering projects and activities including but not limited to:
