Job summary

Mineral Resources Limited in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Planning Engineer to provide dedicated integrated planning support across our Lithium Operations within the medium-term planning horizon.

You will bridge tactical planning and operational execution by developing integrated mine plans that are practical, achievable and aligned across mining, processing, geology, maintenance and logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience in open-pit mine planning in an operational environment.
• Experience developing short-term or integrated mine plans and schedules.
• Lithium, gold and/or base metals experience desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Able to collaborate and deliver high-quality planning in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, track and drive yearly budget, reforecast and 5-Year-Plan activities.
• Develop and maintain integrated mine plans and schedules for the three-month-and-under planning horizon, aligned with the tactical mine plan and site priorities.
• Coordinate planning inputs across Mining, Processing, Geology, Maintenance, Supply, Projects and other key stakeholders to produce executable plans.
• Identify operational constraints, risks and opportunities, and support the development of practical mitigation actions and improvement initiatives.
• Monitor plan performance and compliance, investigate variances and assist with replanning activities to maintain delivery against production and business targets.
• Communicate integrated planning outcomes, assumptions, priorities and changes clearly to site execution teams and relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement, standardisation and automation of integrated planning processes, systems and reporting.

The Opportunity

MinRes is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Planning Engineer to provide dedicated integrated planning support across our Lithium Operations within the medium-term planning horizon.

This role will bridge tactical planning intent and operational execution by developing integrated mine plans that are practical, achievable and aligned across mining, processing, geology, maintenance and logistics. You will work closely with site-based and corporate stakeholders to identify constraints, manage competing priorities and support delivery of the operational plan.

Aligned with the MinRes business model this role will focus on plan delivery from pit to port, working closely between both the LOM team and the Integrated planning functions including involvement in supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll bring

Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.

Demonstrated open-pit mine planning experience, ideally within an operational environment.

Experience developing short-term or integrated mine plans and schedules is highly regarded.

Operational mining experience is preferred.

Experience in lithium, gold and/or base metals operations is desirable.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to balance competing operational requirements.

A practical and collaborative approach, with the ability to deliver high-quality planning outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
