Job summary

BHP is seeking a professionally qualified Engineer to lead the Enterprise Mining Probabilistics (EMP) Critical Path Project Management (CPPM) on a coal mining site in Queensland. The role focuses on managing critical paths, reducing variability, and delivering stable operations through a closed-loop learning cycle and governance framework.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer, preferably Mining.
• Extensive practical leadership in mining operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the closed loop EMP CPPM system and its effectiveness on site.
• Manage day-to-day CPPM improvement pipeline with senior mine planning colleagues.
• Monitor variability framework and its links to buffers and performance metrics.
• Administer reconciliation framework tied to Mine Planning Governance Architecture.
• Maintain the TUM process, coordinate inputs, and support site QBR and budget feeds.
• Provide guidance on EMP theory and team training; champion safety and continuous learning.
