About The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide expert technical services in the delivery of projects and support services, focusing on Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies such as Intune/Autopilot, Defender, M365 migrations, Hybrid Exchange, SharePoint/Teams, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Copilot and Viva.

You will be responsible for end-to-end technical project delivery, including the design, implementation, support, and resolution of complex technical issues. This role requires full ownership of projects, ensuring successful execution from inception to completion. You will work as part of a growing technical team. You must be able to collaborate with the team as well as autonomously deliver excellent outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Project Implementation: Serve as the senior engineer on systems/solutions projects, collaborating with the Project Manager and technical lead to ensure smooth and correct implementation of customer solutions.
2. System Analysis and Design: Perform system analysis, technical design, implementation, and maintenance of systems with an emphasis on Cloud and infrastructure technologies.
3. Timely Delivery: Ensure technical delivery activities are performed in a timely manner, in accordance with contracted terms and agreed design.
4. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure corporate customer satisfaction standards are met and follow up with clients to ensure they are satisfied with the service or products provided.
5. Technical Support: Resolve complex problems with clients’ systems and/or software applications and provide technical support to client requests, dealing with complex service queries and problems.
6. Technology Evaluation: Assist in technically evaluating new and emerging technologies for their fit within MSP’s product portfolio.
7. Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service as required, on-site or remotely.

Experience/Skill:

1. A minimum of 6+ years of related technical experience working with M365 and cloud technologies and with mid-market clients that are between 100 to 1000 seats.
2. Previous experience in an MSP environment, particularly with Project Delivery.
3. Ability to work unsupervised onsite/remote for extended periods or as part of a team.
4. Technical expertise in the design, implementation, and support of systems applied to small and medium environments.
5. Experience with Cross Tenant, Google and/or On-Prem to Microsoft 365 migrations (Identity, SSO, Email, OneDrive, SharePoint/Teams, Intune, Defender).
6. Experience with Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM/PAM.
7. Microsoft Unified Endpoint Management, Windows Autopilot, Intune MDM/MAM configurations for Apple and Android.
8. SharePoint Online / Microsoft Teams Design, Implementation and Migration including Governance and Security.
9. Hybrid Exchange Configuration, Migration, and Decommissioning.
10. Microsoft Defender for Endpoint configurations and hardening best practices.
11. Microsoft Purview for data protection and governance.
12. Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
13. Understanding of well-known security frameworks such as CIS or Essential 8 for best practice configurations.
14. Expertise in fault finding and problem diagnosis for infrastructure and network issues.
15. Strong customer relationship-building skills, able to quickly develop rapport and credibility with clients at all levels and maintain those relationships for the duration of the project lifecycle.
16. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
17. Strong commitment, enthusiasm, and drive with the ability to work through conflicting pressures and priorities.
18. Relevant vendor certifications across Azure IaaS design and migration, Microsoft Viva, Microsoft Copilot, Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365.
