Job summary

PLS seeks a permanent, full-time Metallurgical Specialist to lead metallurgical study work for the Colina lithium project and Pilgangoora improvements. Based in West Perth, you will own study phases from scoping to feasibility, develop flowsheets, and coordinate test programs with internal teams and external laboratories.

You will collaborate with external engineering consultants, present technical results to stakeholders, and contribute to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical or related engineering discipline.
• Experience in mineral processing studies and plant design across project phases.
• Experience managing metallurgical test work programs and interpreting data.
• Ability to work with external engineering consultants and manage technical deliverables.
• Strong analytical and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional project teams and influence stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of safety and environmental requirements in mineral processing.
• Exposure to lithium or hard rock processing projects is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead metallurgical study delivery across project phases from scoping to feasibility and detailed engineering.
• Develop and optimise process flowsheets and test work programs.
• Coordinate metallurgical test work across internal teams and external laboratories.
• Analyse test data to identify process improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Act as technical interface with external engineering houses to ensure quality and schedule.
