Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is seeking a Senior MEP Design Engineer to manage and coordinate design across Heathrow Airport projects. You will collaborate with the Project Manager, clients, and consultants to ensure safe, on‑time, and cost‑effective design delivery while aligning with health, safety and sustainability requirements.

You will drive design reviews, manage interfaces, and promote innovation and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle, supporting procurement and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in design coordination or design management within construction.
• Strong understanding of MEP and civil design principles for multidisciplinary delivery.
• Working knowledge of BIM processes and digital engineering tools.
• Good knowledge ofHealth & Safety legislation and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Health and Safety objectives per company policy.
• Lead tendering of design packages from client briefs and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Develop and manage the Design Responsibility Matrix to clarify ownership.
• Coordinate design activities to deliver on time, within budget, safely.
• Lead and develop direct reports, supporting performance and capability.
• Define and coordinate all design interfaces across disciplines.
