Job summary

Sport Integrity Australia invites applications for the role of Medical Officer - Executive Level 2. Based in Canberra, the Medical Officer provides medical guidance across anti-doping testing, education, investigations and integrity policy implementation as part of the Science and Medicine Team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the ASDMAC Chair and Members, educate clinicians and sport staff, and liaise with external stakeholders to promote integrity in sport.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated broad experience in Sports Medicine.
• Knowledge of the World Anti-Doping Code and the Improper Use of Drugs and Medicine Policy, or ability to acquire quickly.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and carry out complex projects independently.
• Strong liaison, interpersonal and negotiation skills with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical guidance to inform all Sport Integrity Australia operations, including anti-doping testing, education, investigations and intelligence, integrity complaints, and policy implementation.
• Collaborate closely with the ASDMAC Chair and Members; contribute to committee activities.
• Educate clinicians and sport staff on anti-doping medical issues.
• Liaise with external stakeholders to promote integrity and anti-doping matters in sport.
• Support teams across ASDMAC research, education, science, policy, legal, investigations, and partnerships.
