Job summary

Macquarie Group seeks a seasoned media relations professional to shape and execute engagement strategies for Macquarie Asset Management and related businesses in Australia. You will partner with the Head of Corporate Affairs to protect and promote Group reputation, building strong relationships with journalists and internal stakeholders.

You’ll provide practical guidance on media engagement, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across Australia and globally, with a measure of data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or economics, communications, journalism or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in media relations, corporate communications or journalism in financial services or a complex corporate environment.
• Demonstrable experience in funds management is valued.
• Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape and established relationships with journalists.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to produce clear, audience-appropriate media materials under deadline.
• Ability to provide practical advice to senior stakeholders and manage complex matters.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and in a team.
• Interest in media analytics and AI applications.
