Job summary

ADD STAFF, Inc. in Australia is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their Yatala team. Take ownership of estimating and tendering across a diverse range of commercial HVAC projects.

You will work closely with Project Managers, managing tenders, influencing commercial outcomes, and contributing to securing new work with a broad portfolio of projects. Experience across Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction, healthcare, infrastructure or commercial developments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Mechanical estimating experience across Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction projects.
• Experience pricing healthcare, infrastructure, commercial and warehousing developments.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical services installations.
• Experience preparing D&C tenders, budgets, GMP submissions and negotiated pricing.
• Established industry relationships and strong commercial negotiation skills.
• An engineering background, on-site delivery experience or trade qualification will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare competitive estimates, budgets, D&C tenders, GMP submissions and negotiated pricing.
• Review drawings, specifications and project documentation to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Price HVAC plant, ductwork, pipework, controls and associated mechanical services.
• Liaise with builders, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to develop competitive solutions.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to support tender handovers and project delivery.
