WSP in Australia is seeking a highly experienced Principal Mining Engineer to join our Mine Advisory team. You’ll collaborate with top-tier clients on iconic projects, driving value, optimising operations and delivering sustainable outcomes.

With 15+ years in mining, you’ll lead design, scheduling and technical reviews, while guiding multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong client relationships across Australia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in mining engineering across studies, operations and/or consulting.
• Proven capability in mine design, scheduling, optimization and technical review.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine design for open pit and/or underground operations, including scheduling and cost estimates.
• Oversee project lifecycle from proposal to senior review and ensure technical quality.
• Deliver cost-effective solutions meeting time, budget, quality and safety requirements.
• Support due diligence reviews for mergers/acquisitions under supervision.
• Manage tenders, proposals and client reports.
