Job summary

SOTO Group in Unanderra, NSW is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years' experience to join our office-based team. You will deliver robust mechanical designs for industrial projects, using CAD and analysis tools, and collaborate across disciplines.

You’ll work on design verification, fabrication drawings, and integration with structural and piping teams, while applying Australian Standards and delivering practical, real-world outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified mechanical engineer with at least 5 years in mechanical design and project delivery.
• Strong CAD and analysis software experience; solid understanding of Australian Standards.
• Experience with fabrication or site work is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical designs for systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with codes, industry standards, and client specifications.
• Prepare accurate models, drawings, and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with structural, piping, and drafting teams for integrated outcomes.
• Support design validation, analysis and project scheduling.
