Job summary

GHD in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Technical Director – HVAC to lead the delivery of complex building services projects across transport, healthcare, education and commercial sectors. You will provide technical leadership, manage multidisciplinary teams and drive design from concept through construction.

This role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, Chartered Professional Engineer status (or eligibility), and proven client leadership with strong commercial and risk

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering with HVAC/building services experience.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or eligibility to obtain in Australia.
• Proven experience leading design, delivery and verification of complex building services projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across major building services projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire, Structural and Civil.
• Build and maintain senior client relationships and contribute to proposals and strategic engagements.
• Guide projects from concept design through construction and commissioning, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
