Job summary

STACK Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Solutions Engineering to develop high-quality mechanical engineering solutions for data centre projects, from early discussions through design and construction to operational support.

You will provide technical input to sales opportunities, develop PUE assessments, manage consultants and review designs for compliance, buildability, and cost efficiency while mentoring junior engineers and supporting R&D initiatives, and you will work

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of mechanical engineering experience for complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of data centre cooling systems (chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC, pumps, ventilation, control systems).
• Experience developing concept designs, equipment specifications, PUE assessments, and Basis of Design drawings.
• Proven experience managing engineering consultants and reviewing designs for accuracy, compliance, constructability, quality and customer requirements.
• Experience identifying value-engineering opportunities to reduce construction costs and improve design efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input for customer sales requirements.
• Develop concept designs for early discussions and consultant briefing.
• Develop initial PUE assessments to support site selection and test-fits.
• Review vendor proposals and long-lead equipment documentation.
• Update internal BOD drawings and schematics.
• Coordinate with consultants to achieve design outcomes.
• Ensure deliverables comply with STACK BOD and customer requirements.
• Identify and reduce over-engineering to lower costs.
• Support construction via review and approval of workshop drawings.
• Support R&D activities to advance STACK's design solutions.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers and contribute to operational incident root-cause analyses.
