Airservices Australia has an excellent opportunity within our Project Engineering Team for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. You will lead the design, delivery, testing, and commissioning of critical mechanical infrastructure across aviation facilities such as Fire Stations, Control Towers, and Air Traffic Service Centres.

You will provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, coordinate with external consultants, and ensure safety, compliance, and reliability throughout the project

Formación

• 10+ years’ experience in mechanical building services engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• State-based engineering registration, or the ability to obtain registration.
• Strong design knowledge across HVAC, ventilation, heating, and associated systems.
• Familiarity with mechanical plant including air compressors, generators, fuel systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Familiarity across high reliability sectors including data centres, defence, and healthcare.

Responsabilidades

• Lead medium to major mechanical building services projects from concept design through to construction, testing and commissioning.
• Be the discipline lead, taking ownership of mechanical engineering outcomes from concept design through to construction and testing.
• Work with external design consultants to review concept, schematic and detailed designs and ensure they meet Airservices requirements.
• Contribute to design reviews, coordinating feedback on behalf of Airservices
• Support project managers in planning to meet scope, budget and program requirements.
• Communicate to senior management on project status, key risks, and dependencies
• Undertake construction inspections to ensure compliance to the design and build requirements.
• Attend testing activities including site acceptance testing and user acceptance tests.
• Contribute to the overall engineering cohort, continuing to build a strong culture through learning and experience.
