Job summary

Pronel Personnel is partnered with a leading engineering team to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer for advanced filtration and process technology in the global beverage industry. You will design, develop and deliver process equipment across Australia and internationally, taking projects from concept through commissioning.

Key requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in beverage or filtration engineering, SolidWorks proficiency and strong problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical or process engineering within the beverage, liquid processing or filtration industries.
• Strong SolidWorks design and 3D modelling experience.
• Sound knowledge of process equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics and industrial mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to solve complex engineering problems and deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and equipment compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, specification and commissioning of filtration skids, distillation and refrigeration systems.
• Create 3D mechanical models and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
• Develop P&IDs, technical documentation and functional design specifications.
• Manage equipment suppliers and support project delivery, budgets and timelines.
• Review control system and electrical designs to ensure safety and process compliance.
• Analyse plant performance data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and productivity.
• Support the installation, commissioning and handover of new equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
