New Venture Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for an established Australian building services organisation. You will lead HVAC and building services design across commercial, industrial, education and residential projects, taking ownership from concept through to construction with hands-on client coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration.

This full-time role in Sydney offers an immediate start, a competitive salary of 120k–160k AUD plus Super, and a pathway to deliver

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in consulting engineering with HVAC/building services focus.
• Experience delivering projects across commercial, residential, education or student accommodation.
• Ability to manage projects end-to-end from concept to construction documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC requirements.
• Excellent communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Solutions-focused approach delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a consulting engineering background to take ownership of projects from initial concept and design through to construction and delivery.

Working closely with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams, you will play a key role in developing practical engineering solutions, coordinating project requirements and ensuring designs meet the required technical, regulatory and commercial standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in consulting engineering, with a strong focus on HVAC and mechanical building services design.
• Experience delivering projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, mixed-use, education or student accommodation.
• The ability to manage projects independently, from concept design through to construction documentation and delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC requirements and relevant approval processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the confidence to manage client relationships and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to producing high-quality engineering outcomes.
