Job summary

Dean & Ling Executive is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide advanced mechanical engineering, design, analysis and technical leadership across the business. This role leads the development of compliant, safe and commercially effective solutions while mentoring junior engineers.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Engineers Australia), 5+ years in fabrication/manufacturing, strong 3D modelling, FEA experience and knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant mechanical engineering experience in fabrication/manufacturing and heavy vehicle environments.
• Strong mechanical design, engineering calculations and 3D modelling skills; experience designing steel and aluminium fabricated structures.
• Experience in FEA of weldments and assemblies.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic system design.
• Competency with Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD and related software.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 and relevant engineering standards and processes.
• Preferred: Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and bulk fuel tanker or trailer experience.
